Welcome to the Old Chapel

Sleeps 8 in 2 doubles and 2 twins.

There is a family bathroom with WC and electric shower over the bath. The ground floor twin has an en suite electric shower and wc.

BBC's Old Jack's boat is filmed in Staithes - is the Old Chapel really where he went to school (with Captain Cook you say?) ;-)

Visitors may bring a single dog like Jack's Salty if kept on the ground floor and not in the bedrooms please.

Staithes is a delight with 3 pubs, some excellent eating, a super butcher, good walking and all the views and seagulls you could ask for.

The kitchen is well equipped and linked to the lounge diner so you are never stuck alone in the kitchen.

Primitive in name only!

Converted in 2001 from what had become the Sunday school, the chapel has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 lounges, Games room, 2 TV's, Wi-Fi, Cable TV, DVD's, CD Player, Washing Machine, 2 Fridges, Central Heating and Electric fires. Very cosy!

Over 3 floors enough space for a party of all ages to find a somewhere in the house to occupy and something to do without being in one another's laps!

Oh and it's 2 minutes to the beach!

Primitive Methodist Chapel History

Opened in 1858 this was the first Primitive Chapel in Staithes. The Old Chapel offers cosy, luxurious living for up to 8 in 4 bedrooms. The old village is a very special experience for your Yorkshire Holiday and has a unique character, beloved of Captain Cook and Old Jack (of Old Jack's Boat fame). The Old Chapel is a well equipped gem and the perfect place to exhale for family, friends, kids & dogs.
